Allison, Manager & Patient Advocate
I began my career in dentistry as an assistant where I learned a lot about dental health and how different procedures are completed. The knowledge I gained in my time as an assistant has only helped me excel at the administration side of dentistry.
My role in the office is to make sure patients receive the best possible treatment and service. I am the bridge between the clinical staff, administrators, dentists and patients. As well as an insurance expert for complicated treatments. I am always available by phone or email for any feedback, questions, concers and of-course complains. I am also available for emergencies outside office hours. I can be reached at 613-979-7595 or email@example.com.
Not only do I understand the steps in the process to complete your recommended treatment plan, but also how to use your insurance to the best of it’s ability so there is minimal cost to you. I value all of my patients and always have time to explain things in more detail and to discuss pros and cons of any situation. I treat my patients like I would a best friend. I love to get to know you in the time we have before the appointment and it is my goal to make sure you leave our office completely satisfied and looking forward to your next visit.

For the last 5 years I’ve worked in the esthetics world as an esthetician and office administrator. I love learning new things and I adore a challenge, so I decided to try a new path in the dental world. Being a receptionist to me means, that I am the first and last face you see when you are entering and exiting the office. I believe in client satisfaction and quality dental care. I strive to brighten your day and make you feel welcome and at ease as soon as you enter. I continue to strive for that wonderful smile as you leave. In my spare time I enjoy spending quality time with my family and creating in the kitchen.
Kayla has been a part of our team since July of 2016, and has been working in the dental field as an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager since 2009. Kayla’s fear of the dentist as a child is what drove her in to the dental field, in hopes to help alleviate the stress she once felt for anyone else who may struggle with the same fears. She has a great love of people, and is always willing to help with any questions or concerns that you may have. In her spare time Kayla enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with.
Renee (on Maternity Leave)
I had worked in the medical field as a coordinator/administrator for about 3years and wanted to try learning about different health care aspects so I took a shot in the dental field. Why I chose reception was because I love being the frist contact between patient and business. First impressions are very important and I hope to provide a polite and patient experience for all. In my spear time I love spending time with my family and baking.
I was born and raised in Pembroke, ON, graduated Dental Assisting in 2012 from La cite collegiale. Continued into Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2016. I am one of the newest member of the team and absolutely love the office and the people. I enjoy playing lots of sports/outdoor activities and spending time with my family/friends.
I was born and raised in Kitchener, ON. I moved to Ottawa seeking a career in health since I knew that I wanted to provide services that would help people achieve ultimate health. Dental hygiene stood out as a career path for me since I would not only build relationships with such a diverse community of patients but also provide a helping hand for those who are in need of extra care and education in order to maintain optimal oral health.
I graduated from Algonquin College in April of 2018 and I am very passionate about hygiene and participate actively in education courses so I can improve and be up to date on the latest information and techniques. Coming from a family that has always struggled with oral health I am proud to be able to advocate for dental health in and out of the office. In my spare time I like to crochet, go hiking, and spend time with friends and family.
Emily Baldo attended school at Algonquin College and graduated from the dental hygiene program in 2018. She has a passion for preventative care and advocating for people’s oral health. Chantal, RDH (on Maternity Leave)
I grew up on a beautiful little island in the caribbean called Barbados.
It was there that I was an orthodontic assistant for three years. After becoming more familiar with different aspects in the dental field I found myself being drawn more to dental hygiene. I attended Oxford College in Toronto, and graduated in 2009. I returned to Barbados where I worked as a registered dental hygienist until July 2016,when I moved to Ottawa.
I am excited to be a part of the team, at Gateway Dentistry, and to work alongside talented and caring professionals. Even though I miss the warmth and island life, the friendly personalities from everyone in the office make up for it.
For me, it is important that you are comfortable, and I like to devote time to listen to your concerns and hope to address them so you can achieve realistic goals.
I recognize and understand each person as an individual, and I want us to work together to help you meet your own specific oral hygiene needs. I look forward to making your experience at Gateway Dentistry a pleasant one.

I have been with Gateway Way Dentistry since the summer of 2016. I’m very passionate about what I do. My main goal is to make you feel comfortable and welcomed as if you were coming to visit an old friend. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends and camping in the summer. I look forward to meeting you and making you feel at home.
